Max StaresA Poem by DeannaA poem about my dog Max.The dog just stares. His quiet, unblinking stare is consistent as can be. Never wavers, never changes. Wanting just food and love from me. Just me. Love and food that's all he thinks he needs. From me. He is begging now and cannot look away, will not blink one coal black eye. Staring at me for his desperate need for love and food. Just me. For food and love he won't ever dare stop staring at me. What if real life were that easy and free? Just stare stare stare. To get just what you simply need. How wonderful do you think that might be? The dog just stares. © 2013 DeannaAuthor's Note
