Gently you pull me

Like lapping wave

That draws me deeper into the dark sea

Where I find myself surrounded by my thoughts of you

And you hold me to you with gentle warmth

That makes me feel

Maybe things will be alright.

Our lips meet in the middle

And I melt into a heaven

I have never seen before.

I am yours

And you are mine

Tantalizing senses push us

Like a strong current

But we hold strong

And I look at you

To find you are looking at me

Always the same

Always with you

I hope the ocean never lets us go

Beautifully written, the description of the waters as metaphors and similes for the forces of love is brilliant. This poem has so much passion and emotion to it, you truly seem to write from the heart, and I think that is what makes a good poet. This is so sweet and gentle. The ocean being a metaphor is just so.. *chef's kiss* I always find the ocean to remind me of my own mortality and make me feel so small, which is kinda why I love this. Because love is something so sweet and gentle and strong and wonderful :) Anyway, point is, awesome writing.
