Angel.

Angel.

A Poem by NamelessBeast.
"

Angel; Written for a friend who seems to think they're worthless.

"
Oh dear angel, why don't you fight?
Can't you understand, this isn't right!
They dragged you down into the dust,
Turned your auburn hair to iron rust,
Tore your wings and left you scarred,
Stole your halo and left it marred,
Took your smile painted it black,
You couldn't withstand their attack,
Falling from heaven, screaming,
You only hope that you are dreaming,
These men they call you a demon,
Don't pretend you don't see them,
They call you a monster and a beast,
And say, upon your flesh they'll feast,
But it doesn't matter what they did,
Doesn't matter how well you hid,
All that matters is they got to you,
They did what they said they'd do,
But beautiful angel, I found you here.
Trust me, there's nothing to fear.
Not even your scars can hide,
The true and utter beauty that's inside,
Let your wings out and your halo shine,
You are an angel, you are divine.

A beautiful bittersweet poem! It starts dark and sad but the strong ending brings hope. Thank you.
