The Heart's Bridges

The Heart's Bridges

A Poem by NamelessBeast.
"

The Heart's Bridges; Shards.

"
Connected by nothing but memories of a long forgotten past,
We all know that these heart's bridges will never actually last,
And these shards of these painfully happy memories dig into me,
My only happiness comes from my heart's only absentee.

I try to cross the darkness in me to meet my heart's fate,
But the final struggles of mine are coming far too late,
My heart's flimsy bridges are completely burnt through,
And I'm begging for anyone to tell me what I should do,

But the problem here is that I cannot let people close,
Because I would poison them, give them a lethal dose
Of the burnt ashes that are buried  inside of my heart,
I know that these broken bridges would tear them apart.
