The City.

The City.

A Story by NamelessBeast.

The City.

"

When I lay down, I close my eyes. I see a picture; a beautiful, deadly picture. It haunts my dreams and screams at me while I'm awake.

I can never find the words to describe this picture. So now I'm going to try. You tell me what you see.

A city, unlike any you've ever seen. Not for its beauty, or shape, or size, or place. No it's unlike them because it's the most normal city you've ever imagined. But in the centre of that normal city is a fire, a small fire. It's only one building, one unused building. And no one is in it. No one's bothered. It's in a run down area. No one really cares. In this building is a box; a crate really. In the crate is a can. A gas can. The fire reaches the crate. Suddenly the building that didn't matter, the very building that no one cared about, became the centre of attention. People ran, people screamed, people called the fire brigade. All the things you'd do for a normal fire.

But this wasn't a normal fire.

This was the beginning of the end.

The end had begun.

And it's coming for you.
