Suicide By The Sea.

Suicide By The Sea.

A Poem by NamelessBeast.
"

Suicide By The Sea.

"

Sitting on a beach watching the sun set.

Thinking about how much worse it can get,

Well, not much worse, I don't think,

Yet my fears grow, and hope shrinks.

Then the sun sets, and I'm in the dark.

I'll wait here for the call of the lark,

Waiting till morning, for a bird call,

Waiting forever, Waiting to fall.

Sitting on cold sand, rocks by my feet,

The waves strain to reach my seat.

Too far gone for the waves to catch,

So to me, the shadows latch.

The shadows, they want to stay,

So they cling, awaiting a new day.

They hide behind me, so solitary,

And they swarm up and drown me.

The sea watches as shadows drown me,

The deepest darkness surrounds me,

I walk wholeheartedly toward the waves,

They scream as my strong will fades.

I plunge into the green waves and white foam,

Swallow the water, I'll no longer be alone.

Breathe in the liquid death,

Feel my last breath, as it left.

They drag my corpse out of the water,

Dad is there, it's his daughter,

Mum is there, she's crying tears,

Laura's waiting, fighting fears.

My step-dad's shocked,

Their world's been rocked.

All my friends cry,

They know exactly why,

I did what I did, what I will do,

That reason, honestly, is you.

A very sad poem. Hard to walk the line of life and death. Suicide leave a lot of people with emotion and desire to know why someone would take their own life. I lost two brother's to suicide. 24 years later. I have their pictures near. I still miss their laughter. I like how you ended the poem. I tell people. Never died for love. Love will fade. Friendship can grow. Thank you for sharing a powerful poem. Made me think. A excellent poem.
