II "Fall"

II "Fall"

A Chapter by Namaa Hammond

Look into the window and you will see

A tempting faded soul

Shears of feathers ring around my feet

Dragging me down an empty hole

And his leftover ashes from the stake

A dust storm spinning around me

Leaving me in a fog to cremate

As the widow flew out to the blackest seas

Cobwebs, wings, claws and sharp feathers

One strand hung from the wire

Spreading his wings faster than ever

The night skies were his desires

All the letters in the sky read

Black walls were painted with paint

And all the words that the dusk bled

Red walls are scornful disdained

Something is missing a mile away from home

These are the rules in the creed

A lonely soul stood by a wise old gnome

Tied the rope to both their feet

The single twig fell of the oak tree

Leaving the widow to span

Falling, spinning, about ten feet

Where does the widow land?
