Signs

Signs

A Poem by Jean Calvin

Hypothermia was crawling after me,
But I wasn't running after from it.
The snow was falling briskly
Amongst the trees,
As I clambered to find somehere,
Somewhere safe.

This road is
One way only.

The wolves were hunting me,
And I needed to hide.
Your cottage seems warm
I'm freezing,
And you could save me.

Broken glass
Please use other door.

Please,
I can feel it's icy grip on my throat
I can feel their fangs rip my guts,
Please.

Exit
Only.

Oh silly me,
I laughed, dead on the ground,
I shouldn't have run to death's door.
