Raven

Raven

A Poem by Jean Calvin

I spotted you among
A forray of blackened white,
Dressed in a cute skirt
And wild facepaint.

I was among many others
When you spotted me,
And you started to dance with me.
Pressing your body against mine,
My mind racing from trivia of quick, helpless romance,
And as soon as you came
You went, Leaving me wanting more.

Only more
Of something I can't have.
