Mundane Laundry

Mundane Laundry

A Poem by Jean Calvin

Routine patterns of folding
Symmetrical patterns of no nonsene.

Yet,
This discolored rag
Means more to me
Then the song that's playing in my ears.

The rag that remains discolored
From wiping away my vomit and blood
After too many tears lost their way,
Once upon a time.
For someone.
