Same Moon

Same Moon

A Poem by Jean Calvin
"

My second (and hopefully better) variation of this idea

"
Heavenly bodies float around
The sky without light,
Thought that matters not to me
Except for the moon dangling among the clouds.

I wonder how many times
I've stared out at the moon,
I wonder how many times
You've stared out at it
And wondering if I'm doing the same.

Sometimes I think I see the moon
Casting out threads
To those staring out at it.
And I wonder.

Maybe, Just maybe,
If I pulled hard enough on that thread
If you would come back to me.
But I know that won't happen.

So for now
I wonder,
And stare out at the moon.
