Sister, Tell Me a Story

Sister, Tell Me a Story

A Poem by Jean Calvin

Sister, Tell me a story
One of which will fascinate and terrify me
With it’s splendid grandeur,
And flows into my soul
Just as easily as it falls into my ears.

Sister, Tell me a story
One of which that will infiltrate
My dreams and moments of despair,
And capture your sweet voice
Inside of me for all eternity.

Sister, Tell me a story
One of which that lasts so long
You’ll never have to leave my side,
And lets me remember
Who we really are.

Sister, Tell me a story
One of which that will always last
Though you’re now gone,
And let it linger in me
Even though I’ll never hear it.
