ORIGINA Poem by Nakul J MenonThe rule of man
ORIGIN
The first spark of fire revealed, Began the era of the man concealed, As the ages passed in discoveries, Was the time men ceased to retreat. The circle of life persists, Through ages and ages since, The first wheel was weld, From bold metal and steel. The rule of man to man began, Through machines they plough The noble sand, With vessels that tames The mighty tides, And birds of metal That trims the majestic skies. They tried to control Both time and space, And thus began The mighty space age And now we wait For the wrath of the world revealed, In the form of a virus That persists to proceed. Thus we look back At the wrongs we did, Where we forgot who we are Our Origin concealed. © 2020 Nakul J MenonAuthor's Note
