A poetress anguish By Najet Adouani

A poetress anguish By Najet Adouani

A Poem by Najet Adwani
"

This is for me, I break my mirror

"

The cold night crackles,
Looking at the other side of life.
A gulf, gaping from where a distressing ideal arises,
warms itself in the very depths of my being.
At the bottom of that unfathomable abyss
move shadows tanned by liberty.
They fly away in a burst of unity
and form the blood of my plans.
They pass close by you, enigmatic
building materials of the city-to-be.
They go about, red, white, black
detained by the mystery of friendship.
Their prophetic word
which soars up into the silent sky
is the poet's ultimate counsel
sown in the tragedy of the modern world.
Shadows that speak the sacred language
painters of the enormous building of the future,
put up a people worthy of my anguish.
