Frame me in your heart

Frame me like an art, capture me in your heart.

FRAME ME IN YOUR HEART 

For if I could be the colour on your canvas,

I would never be a soul so colourless.

Brush me like the indigo hues of a dark sky,

Or like the free birds soaring high. 

Just as the shades of pink you colour,

A thousand strokes of perfection to the water.

Strike me along like the reflection,

Or like the setting sun in the horizon. 

Along the seas you create the mountains,

Darkest brown brush of the colour makes a chain.

Create me too like a picture of a tale,

Or like the boat that alone sails.

Paint me like a picture in your heart,

Discover my admiration for you like an art.

Remember me like the shades of your colour,

Or like a secret admirer yet to discover.

Author's Note

The painting was done by a thirteen year old who happens to be the sister of my best friend. This art inspired me to write this poem for her. It could not be possible without her.

i wrote a poem about a boat picture my ex husband (now live out partner ) painted.
its weird a year later that picture that i chose randomly from his amateur collection he put in an art show and one first prize. it was like i chose his award winning picture a year before it happened to write a poem about tell her/him to keep painting. what a wonderful tribute to her. thanks for sharing this. i liked it a lot loved it really
