Don't let my words fadeA Poem by Najam Us SaherLet my words remain in your heart foreverDON'T LET MY WORDS FADE I will not live long, I want my words to remain forever. I will leave my unsung songs, Promise me, you will leave them never. When I am no more, don't cry, It would be deceiving me when I was alive. So here I lay, under this tombstone with my head up high, When people like my words and want to see me, tell them that I am no more; Show them where I lie. My words will not haunt you, They will be gone along with me. I will leave my words with you, Don't expect them to be words of glee. I wish that my words gain attention, As I was not a person to be. I lived all my life in seclusion, Don't believe? Come and see. This is how I bid you goodbye. After I live; before I die.
