To Life

TO LIFE

I will smile even when you are giving me a thousand reasons to cry,

I will be fair with you- my life,

Even though you were so unfair with me.

I will not be the way you had been with me,

Because I want to be remembered as the one 

Who was smiling in spite all of her griefs.

I want to be remembered as the one

Who kept on repeating her mistakes and never failed to admit them.

I want to be remembered as the one 

Who had endless hope and her expectations ruined her.

You had crushed me and choked me to death,

I am a little distance away from dying,

But you are so cruel,

You take away the lives of others who are happy in their lives,

You steal the breath of those who struggle to be alive,

And don't grant death to those who don't want to live.

You are a bitter truth,

Now death seems a beautiful lie,

But you are still so cruel to give me hope that tomorrow will be better,

Since all these years I've lost and been hurt,

You have kept me trapped,

I hate the sunshine and another day,

That couldn't bring brightness in my life.

Each day I am struggling,

Life is sustaining me even when I don't want to be alive.

I believe life is meaningful and worthy,

But why don't I get what I have loved?

I accept the fact that life is worth living...These are just feelings what I am going through...
It's my frustration on life...I still believe life has something good for me..I really appreciate and value my life but sometimes I feel such...

Ah!! This is just beautiful! Simple words, but clear, concise, and relatable. I am typically drawn to language and phrasing first, followed by emotion second, but emotion can often overwhelm above all, and I felt that frustration from the inconsistency of life very strongly. The way in which this was wrote can appeal and be understood by many besides the content which can connect to many. The back and forth like a raging but hopeful tide on the wish to live happily while having a losing hand is employed so perfectly--I cannot stress how delighted I am with this simple but heartfelt and powerful piece.

As a young man I believed in nothing beyond this world, this single lifetime. At 24 I almost drowned and had an NDE. Every day since then I've known the real illusion is this world-- it is but a dream, one of very many we each have I suspect, and like our dreams at night, they are mostly forgotten when we go to the next life, the next dream. But Najam, karma is also real, so what we do in any dream/life is very, very important.

I thing that life is a combination of happiness and grief. We should have patience in both situations because it is not use to be worry all time in our life. Frustrations are here and there throughout life... your personification is skillful. There were also times when I feel that death is tempting - yet I know it's a lie. My heart solidified so I wouldn't feel the pain - it was constantly there, torturing me every day. This is an amazing piece and thank you for sharing!

I understand what this says. Life is... Complicated, frustrating, and somehow, it doesn't pull any punches. I sometimes forget this, I don't know if anyone else does, but life is a pain to me, but I know it's sometimes not so unfair. If you've read any of my poems or stories, life being unfair is a common theme. Life is unfair, but nothing is fair. You just have to try your hardest to forget that sometimes everything will suck, but not everything will later.
