This poem reminded me of some of William Blake's poetry in his collection of works 'Innocence and Experience.' Have you ever read any of his work?
He wrote a lot about green as a colour, it seemed to be a shade that spoke of nature and the joyous occasion of being young.
With this in mind, these two lines are my favourite:
Green meadows and misty rain,
I wished I stayed there forever.

To tell you the truth, I felt too lazy to google your title word, so I was happy that your poem showed me what Petrichor is like . . . good way to paint your scene with vivid imagery. We don't have much green here becuz we've been in a drought for 10 years, but I remember how refreshing it is to be surrounded by green. Despite my hills being brown, I feel exactly these things, living near a wilderness (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
