Ephemeral GangsterA Poem by VagueVevena A. LaurnSometimes I kill- other times I'm killed, this one time - I'm still killed. And I used to lie in romance. Now there's only warmth and death; -I'm too far from either. I can speak a cavalcade of fear- from the strength I once knew. All I've got is wuthering vehimism -masks a wild-eyed fiend, an everlasting mockery of pain. Surrounded by all this strength. They grow afraid to reach out; If I turn and we touch, they're not certain they could hurt me saw me, they say she they say - I - Tore these violet skies away from their homes -strengthened my world with the pieces. I evoke the liar in their bones; they can see beneath my skin. All because I couldn't keep living.
