A Poem by Nabothi Hanotohi

This is the story
of some simple soldiers
in a battalion
far away.
Their mission has so far
been labeled as 'classified'
and is only talked about
behind locked doors.
They always stand ready
to be deployed
for their next mission,
probably in some dark cave
targeting the scum
who made it their home.
They're a close-knit group,
their bonds are strong,
their suits are ironed,
they're always in immaculate
tip-top
shape.
Ground missions are not always their thing,
occasionally they come soaring through the air
and they don't mind getting their feet wet either.
Versatile,
is how you'd best
describe them.
Eagerly, they await their orders,
ready to 'roll out'.
Whatever the case
to them it's always the same old s**t.
While others may look down on them
they stand ready to do the dirty work,
the stuff no one wants to touch.
So, next time, when you wipe your bum
please show some respect,
these troopers, fallen comrades
accomplished the mission and
finally
got their rest.
