Chapter Two: The Recruit (Work in progress.)

Very short chapter as I wrote it differently somewhere else.

Deran and I moved as far as we could for the first day, setting up camp at dawn, watching the strange figure, when we thought it was safe, we set up our tent, and setting the temporary base up. We raidoed where we were, mapping out where we would go when we woke up again.

We turned off the cameras, and changed their batteries, charging the ones we took out, setting up the daytime cameras around our temporary base, keeping eyes out everywhere, before finally setting up our beds, and lying down as the sun starts to rise, thankfully our tents were basically dark inside.

The next night, we woke up, to the recruit staring at us, just standing there, looming over us, making me instantly pull my gun out on it, Deran quickly got up in between us, trying to calm me down, just standing there, telling me to calm down, as I just lay there, gun in hand, staring at them.
