The Color of Love

The Color of Love

A Poem by N.Sevilla

The color of love is winter white:
Endless and hauntingly pure.
But like the purity of Adam and Eve
Come the sins that white will lure.
With eternal winter night and days,
Soon comes spring.
Roses then burst throught the snow
Like a broken promise ring.
The red string of lovers,
In which they are bound,
Soon wither and come crashing down.
The warmest blanket
They share as one
Is tossed away in the summer sun.
When Winter promises us forever kisses
To settle our cries every night and day
We tend to forget at every snowfall,
She will betray.
