More than a love poem

More than a love poem

A Poem by N.Sevilla
"

Quick words that happen to be on my mind

"

I don't want to be another love poem.

A couple lines on a used napkin.

I don't want to be another "I love you".

Breath seen quickly and disappearing into the winter air.

I don't want to be a memory.

Time erodes it slowly into nothing.

I don't want to be a feeling

Quickly replaced by others.

Treat me as a rock.

Eternal and ever-changing.

Withstanding all,

Yet with a breaking point.

One that could crumble into pebbles,

Still never really gone.

Could be washed away

Onto another shore.
