Caligo's Farewell

Caligo's Farewell

A Poem by N.Sevilla

I am a misconception
no words can get me right
I am full of lies and deception
I am a lover of the night

I have been dead for so long
killed by the one I trusted
killed because I have done "wrong"
when merely my heart was rusted

I am she who is called Caligo
a small spot of dark
I used to block the sun so no light would show
now I hardly leave a mark

I write now
through the last of my whispers
I don't know how
but all that's left of me are these oozing blisters

soon those blemishes will heal
and I will have no voice
I used to make others kneel
but now I have no choice

good bye and adieu
those who laugh and those who moan
to the one who killed me: as for you
it is not my forgiveness you should seek but your own
