Fated Red

Fated Red

A Poem by N.Sevilla
"

Falling in love at first sight one early morning

"
In a misty morning day
With the scent of coffee and early dew
The anticipation in the air grew
When clouds parted at your gaze

Your hair, strands of fated red
Skin kissed by freckled spice
A taste, enough to entice
The beating of my heart for your stead

The shape of your lips, a key
A rusted lock, now broken
Long before a word is spoken
Exposing and unfolding me.

The heat of my cheeks ignite
The music of your greeting is warming
As a retired connoisseur of misty mornings
I've come to find delight in sunlight

Don't know, coffee has a romantic feeling to it. I imagined this scene occurring in a little downtown cafe.
