I'll Be WholeA Poem by N.SevillaA lost man who is in love with someone that doesn't existI never loved a woman the way I love her: Invisible eyes, fingers gentle, unmoving A ghostly sunbeam, warm to my eyes Absolute perfection in every way I cannot see her I dream of her, a metamorphosis of my changing ways Hair, raven black in the dark of night A golden halo in the dawn of day She’ll be familiar to me when I meet her: Her laughter waking me from my endless slumber Her smile, shaped to unlatch the lock on my chest Her walk, a dance I alone can behold Eternal are the days I wander, mortal are the steps I take Lovers upon lovers, droplets to a storm The flood of ambrosia I drink in my dreams Parched in the mornings I wait Dusk to dawn, winter nights through summer days I’ll know you when we meet And I’ll be whole © 2024 N.SevillaAuthor's Note
