With Much Love,

With Much Love,

A Poem by N.Sevilla
"

To send love to a stranger

"

I have a well within my chest that overflows and spills,

The contents precious and confusing with dips, twists, and hills.

Love, the most addicting sweet drink there can be,

A jewel for your tongue, but a harsh poison for me.

I do not have a need for love for I have some to spare,

But I need someone to receive all my love and care.

Alas, I have no lover, so where will my love go?

So I have turned to the stranger of whom I do not know.

You! Stranger! Read the words I write,

Watch me transfer all my soul without a groan or fight.

I love you, stranger, with all my fingers’ strength.

I love you as far and wide as this poem’s length.

I love you with all the love I embedded in these words

And with every rhyme in this page that you have ever heard.

Accept my love, oh reader of my trouble,

And keep it safe until it has grown its double

So that one day I will return and ask of you instead

To return the love I gave and keep an abundant shred.

Author's Note

N.Sevilla
I wrote this inspired by a book I once read called Ask the Passengers by A.S. King. It gave me the idea of what to do with all the love we have stored up that has nowhere to go, and so I give it to you, my readers. And yes, the comma in the title is intentional. It supposed to be like the ending of a letter, without adding the name.
