To Remember Once MoreA Poem by N.SevillaLast week I was caught in the sudden rain.
Has it been so long since I've last seen rain
That I only remember her gentle nature? This memory distorted by what I feel now: The heavy poundings on my skin I mistook for hail. She came out of no where, throwing herself down, Trying to bruise my skin so that I would never forget again Her touch. I walked on, doing nothing to shield myself From her fury while She roared in the distance, the rumbles of her agony. I could feel the water drip down my face Like beads of sweat though I was cold. A cold sweat to match my growing apprehension That with her clamor she will strike me down. Strike me down with the bolt of Thor If the heavy rain itself were not enough. Strike me down with the bolt of Thor If her anger were just enough. Within the building I could no longer hear her Outside, But I would not and could not forget her again When the wet patch of shirt above my heart Was the last stubborn spot to dry.
