Prayin' Cowboy

Prayin' Cowboy

A Poem by Jessica
"

How cowboys do it

"

While kneelin' at the cross

The cowboys prayers were at a loss

He hopes God is listenin'

But sometimes he is missin'

The cowboy thought he was sly

But did not get away with the lie

He made a mistake

Because he began to fake

Since he confessed his sin

He came out of the dark den

What people do not see

Is how the cowboy life should be

If you ever heard the ol' sayin'

"It's hard to stumble, when your on your knees and praying"

You should know its true

Because that is how a true cowboy gets through.

Amen to that... cowboys are reckless but with there heart in the right place as we go with our gut and less with our minds when making decisions... Nicely penned!!

Oh, s**t! The rhymes were cool and the story, too. I agree with Aaron, the Cowboy life has turned to a mish mashed image in the minds of everday poeple. NICE!

I like this, it brings me back to the tales of the old west. I like how you said that people don't know how a cowboy's life should be. Its so true. People have lost the ability to understand whats different I guess. Great job! keep it up!
