ObliviousA Poem by itsnotnaturalN/A
I walk by it every day
Falls every which way But nobody seems to notice Falling into a state of disrepair And nobody is there To clean up all around it They seem to think about only themselves With nobody else Trying to get them to do the right thing Your eyes are your own eyes so go ahead and use them It'll work kind of like cold fusion With two things becoming one Chorus Don't be so blind Don't be so oblivious So oblivious Procrastination will get you less than nowhere Then proclaim that it's not fair Hesitation was the cause Have you gotten used to the odor in your home And since you live alone Your hands have become paws Do you see the garbage on the side of the road Ignore it as you go Thinking someone else will probably clean it People point it out and you say that it's not my problem Others say that they've already got one But it's just a different kind Chorus Bridge Chorus Don't be so blind Don't be so oblivious So oblivious Don't be so blind Don't be so oblivious So oblivious Don't be so stupid Don't be so arrogant So arrogant Don't be so blind Don't be so oblivious So oblivious © 2016 itsnotnatural |
