The SeafarerA Poem by itsnotnaturalStory of a stowaway.
He looked out to the sea one day
And dreamed of becoming a sailor But instead he just stowed away Yet still he got on the water It wasn't till later that he had been caught And forced to mop up the galley The ship had been traveling at twenty-three knots When it beached on a rock in a valley chorus He was one with the ocean Circling the world Telling his stories To anyone who would listen Day by day he gets Caught in the whirlwind Of a journey Of the seafaring traveller The ship started sinking there was only one raft He fought to the front just to make it alive There was almost no food in the craft So when the ship sunk there were few to survive Day and night there was nothing but blue It was more than enough to drive a man crazy When he jumped in the water they called him a fool But for those in the boat, their vision got hazy refrain He swam they floated, they eventually died He was becoming frozen and numb Out in the distance he could see something wide He could barely signal, he was nearing his doom Then came from nowhere he was lift up on deck He registered that he had just been rescued They said they found others from the wreck But they were far to many too few refrain They had all been brought back to shore They were just happy to see the ground Most said they wouldn't go anymore But one was seen to be turning around He looked out to the sea one day And dreamed of becoming a sailor But instead of just stowing away He trained and soon became first mate refrain © 2016 itsnotnatural |
