Homeward BoundA Poem by NJ Schneiderthe title makes me think of the 90's movie with the talking animals.Black crows swirling overhead Every visible tree is bare and dead Mindless chatter cut out by musical sound As the bus rumbles on homeward bound
With muscial sound
The moon and sun share the sky As the sun sets and says goodbye Cramped and warm in a tiny space Clouds come in to cover heaven's face
Patience is found
Familiar signs point the way home Can't decided whether it's better to roam Only memories keep me here With a conscious that isn't quite clear
We're over the mound
Watched silently by blue eyes Ears now filled with muscial sighs Tolerance is sinking beyond repair Such ignorance is hard to bare
And homeward bound © 2009 NJ SchneiderAuthor's Note
