Don't Be Scared

Don't Be Scared

A Poem by NJ Schneider
"

Take a risk, lie your heart on the table.

"

When something dies

Something grows

Like the phoenix rising

From its ashes' woes

Don't be scared

You say goodbye

Then he says hello

And lifts you off your feet

Like a fairytale long ago

Don't be scared

Don't worry little phoenix

He means you no harm

But you know the Scorpio nature

Hidden behind his great charm

Don't be scared

He promises to be gentle

That's all you can ask

Because now he has to struggle

To take off your mask

Love each line, the underlying message, the chosen image... You lift us, and carry us on wings of hope and inspiration. Powerful!

I loved how you used the phoenix in relation to being "reborn" and starting over.

It's one of my favorite magical creatures.

Anyways I really enjoyed the poem.

Very well done. :]

Always,
