Tiny blue bird come

Sit at the window

Tiny blue bird sing

Stare into the meadow

 

Sit at the window

Stare into its eyes

Sit and wonder

Stare as it cries

 

Tiny blue bird sing

Sit in sorrow no more

Tiny blue bird in the rye

With a heart still sore

 

I sit at the window

Praying you will fly

I walk in the meadow

Trying to keep you in the rye

I wish I could protect everyone from lifes cruelties.

Keep them in the rye.
