April's FoolA Poem by NJ SchneiderHappy April First. There she is Curled in the corner Our little fool A total loaner
Her head in the clouds Her feet dancing on water She glinds so smoothly Never seeming to totter
She plays and sings Through her private dreamland Full of forests and beaches Without all the horrid sand
They watch her judgingly With their icy stares Wishing her wonderland Was only theirs
One breaks from the pack And grabs her small arm She smiles kindly She's never known harm
They hurt her body And lock her in a room The walls are plain and clean But with a sense of gloom
And now She's strapped to a bed All sense of wonder Gone from her head
There she is And I feel so cruel My baby girl My little fool
