Lullaby

Lullaby

A Poem by NJ Schneider
"

Mmm poem TYM!

"

Float away with me,

My dear one, my dear one,

To where the angels sing,

And the cherubs play.

A special place,

Where you can always stay.

Come away with me,

My dear one, my sweet one.

Let us soar above them all,

And glide to untroubled times.

Let us laugh and play,

Filling our heads with silly rhymes.

Always stay with me,

My dear one, my dear one,

For I am forever with you.

I can show you great love,

And we'll fly together,

Into the indigo skies above.

Sleep peacefully,

My dear one, my sweet one.

Dream of magic and the stars above.

But don't forget to return to me,

In the next morning,

Fore without you I can't fly free.

Author's Note

NJ Schneider
I got it a pretty big fight with my friend, and I've just been extremelly emotional lately. Which is odd for me because I am a pro at controling myself, so much that it scares some people. To most people I seem very calm or intimidating but recently I've lost that sense of control... I just wish Eric would talk to me and tell me what happened and why he left out of the blue... *sighs* Well, this poem I wrote I purposefully made it so when you read it, it could be for anyone you know. Family, Friends, Lovers, etc. It just kinda came to me last night... I got 2 and a half hours of sleep so I might just be slow today..

I usually like rhyming poetry, but yours is very good. Very deep emotions were obviously the reason this piece was written.

Beautifully written. I really liked the structure, the flow and the repitition of words. On the 4th stanza you spelt Peacefully wrong. But other then that your poem was fantastic. Keep writing.

i felt peace and love when i read it. I love the flow of it. I'll be honest, I am too depressed to spend too much time focusing on it. but i thought it had a beautiful sentiment to it.

I agree that it has a lullaby feel to it, very peaceful and sweet. I enjoyed it.

I loved these lines...
Let us soar above them all,
And glide to untroubled times.
Let us laugh and play,
Filling our heads with silly rhymes.

Wonderful writing!!
