Girls Don't Cry

Girls Don't Cry

A Poem by NJ Schneider
"

A poem.

"
I miss your gentle touch,
How you always held my hand when driving your car,
Making sure to look at me every couple of seconds,
Giving me that smile that melted my heart.
Oh how I miss that smile…

I miss the sound of your voice whispering in my ear,
How warm your body was when we fell asleep together,
And the way you used to blush,
Any time I pointed out your cute dimple.
Oh how I miss that dimple…

I miss the color of your eyes.
How they would sparkle with unsaid thoughts,
And never ceased to make my knees weak,
When they stared magnificently into mine.
Oh how I miss those eyes…

I miss you,
How you always looked at me like I was totally crazy,
And then you would kiss me,
Telling me that’s why you liked me so much.
Oh how I miss you boy…

And I wish you would just come back,
Because I really need you.

Um, the title is a revision of "Boys Don't Cry" a song by The Cure that I like and I picked it because while I miss him terribly I am unable to cry. It's almost like I've cried so much I just can't anymore... Oh how I miss that boy...

Doesn't it seem everything is ten times magnified when they're gone? You see those things when they are there but when they leave you realize it even more. It's like you look around and see memories everywhere and are unable to do anything but watch as those memories play out before your eyes. It seems now that things that once us such joy turn to the things that slowly tear you apart from the inside when things go wrong. You did a wonderful job with this one- and though it feels bad to cry and feel you shouldn't I find it does more help then harm. I love you Niki- and this is amazing.
