There's no Stopping TimeA Story by N GaardeA walk through life
Time is flying by like there's no tomorrow,
And I can't do a thing to stop it. I wish I could, but there's no denying, That maybe I really want it to go on. When I was five, I couldn't wait to be ten That way I could go on all the rides alone. But when I turned ten, all I wished for was to be a teen. Then thirteen came and I grew fast. But I wanted faster. I wished for age like a poor man begs for money. So when I was eighteen, I wanted to be twenty one. So I drank until I got drunk and pretended to be someone who I wasn't. Sick and hungover, I wished I was older, So I'd be wise enough not to do it again. Time flew by like there was no tomorrow And I didn't do a damn thing to stop it. © 2011 N Gaarde |
