![]() ...Comes A RainbowA Poem by NEHARaindrops kept wetting my cheeks, I kept on stamping mud under my bare blistered feet, Struggling through the thorny bushes, Trying to escape from the wild wolves. I missed my steps and fell down; I crawled... Blood forced out of my knees. "The chains were better"- My inside moaned. Knifes fell in love with me, And I was stripped nude. Winds uprooting me, Spiders sewing my chest. With thorns in my flesh, and my throat thoroughly choked, Came the ring of the death call. I paced slow, My wobbling legs collapsed. I fell down on my knees Crumping the dry leaves beneath. I had reached my cottage. After a hurricane comes a rainbow. © 2018 NEHAReviews
