Flight of the Dreamer

Written about the 10th grade I think. It went along with a book I was writing at the time, I believe.

I toss and turn,
A dreamless night,
Brings visions of
Your starlit flight,
Come closer quickly,
Each turning mile,
To feel your warmth,
And see your smile,
A distant gaze,
From window's pane,
To find your face,
And ease the pain,
A breathless silence,
Unnerving chill,
Watching, waiting,
And hoping still,
To cast a glance,
On shadowed lot,
Upon that empty
Parking spot,
Unspoken oath,
I've taken deep,
And prayed that prayer,
I'm yours to keep.
