PURPOSE

A Poem by Swati Nayak
"

A new insight into why we were created

"

Every human wants to lead a comfy life,

So it always keeps a goal in mind…………….

I too have an aim,

An aim not driven by self-love,

But with a duty in mind .

                          Teenager I am, a human soul…

…who got into this beautiful world of God…

My eyes behold His lovely creations

Working in fantastic ways. Sometimes…

..I just imagine that if I were not a human..

The elements of my body would have been a

Part of the inanimate, abiotic world "the air, the water and the soil..

And how sad it is to know that this earthly life is finite.

After my body stops working, I‘ll not be able to see the …

Spectacles on earth, nor will I hear the…..

Mellifluous melody of the universe.

Robbed off my complex senses and consciousness ..

What will I do?.....Nothing.

Therefore ,till my last breath ,I shall fight….

To turn my dreams into reality, and

To make my people proud of me.

I will not get carried away by short promises of luxury

Which are “nightmares dressed like day dreams

Thank You ,  Almighty..

For blessing this  mass of molecules  with life…

Not only that, but, for also giving it life in human form…

….Your most advanced creation.

My Future lies in my hands…..

So,I ‘ll   have to work harder

I’ll do this not because of self gain…

Not because of shaming others ,or for fame.

But because it will fulfill my purpose ….

Of being born as a human in this planet .

I really really appreciate your intention -- I congratulate you on realising that being human is something more than being a racing rat.. But, u have described what you don't want to become. I would've liked it more if u had specified what being a human in this planet means to you?

This is a good poem with a really true meaning--being born as a human is something we should be thankful for and we should live up to it. I would wanna know what's so lovely about being a human..like include the benefits too...
I liked the last stanza especially:
My Future lies in my hands…..

So,I ‘ll have to work harder

I’ll do this not because of self gain…

Not because of shaming others ,or for fame.

But because it will fulfill my purpose ….

Of being born as a human in this planet .

Line 4 has a typo likely caused by this site's software... it sometimes changes dashes into quotation marks when you post your writing. It will correct easily.

Very idealistic and yes quite personal. Flaws happen - we are human... software and spell-check bite us and likely have bitten you. Recheck this post for your views are worth the minds' eyes pausing with clarity.
