RedemptionA Poem by Swati NayakFor anybody who needs a quick motivation .Words can’t express the anguish Spreading in my mind . A reactive mixture of repentance and anger, Boiling like water inside me, Are not letting me to breathe.
What have you done ?Why did it happen like that? Are propping up inappropriately ….. I feel like crying but alas…. no tears dare to flow From my angry ,disappointed eyes . Words can’t express the anguish Spreading in my mind .
My mind so hurt so helpless Reminisces a scene from my glorious past Oh !Those were golden days ,it says The days when you where the Queen Everyone looked up at you With a sense of jealousy mingled with respect But now they simply lift their noses and avoid . You are visibly invisible, known but unknown . Your crown has rusted and has lost its sheen .
Just then my soul speaks out… Don’t you want that old respect Don’t you know that it was a younger you Which enjoyed the taste of leadership Have lost the spirit ,the zeal to succeed ? Remember failure is not fatal and success Not at all final .It is a long journey.
Don’t worry time’s still there To reclaim your lost glory And if you really want to relish the zest of life, Never give up your hope. At last my mind starts to normalize It promises that even if I win a thousand games I will never quit or with pleasure sit Down to take a rest Every day day I will give my best And forget the rest .
So dear reader, if this poem brings A change in you so deep Do return again and give it a peep. © 2016 Swati NayakReviews
