And the petals fallA Poem by mikael owusudecadence and the futility of life
The sower sowed the seed,
And some fell in the thorns. I've seen the flower that sprung out of it and it had no chance i tell you! It had a tall stalk like the structure of the fair maidens of Arabia. The thorns pierced the stalk And just like a still-born in the hut of a cursed african village, It had no chance! It's sepals turned dark The scarlet petals withered And the sweet melodious scent That caused bees to dance to its tunes, turned funky and pungent. The stalk broke, the sepals flew The bees delved and the petals fell The stalk is under seige by wriggly worms and inquisitive termites The flower dies for it had no chance! Dedicated to samuel owusu Frimpong.....a brother who's died. By : owusu f michael © 2016 mikael owusuAuthor's Note
