Edge of a Razor

Edge of a Razor

A Poem by Mjr. Tom
"

This is about me to the love of my life.

"
Are you blind my dove?
To the truth in the open?
That you are like air to me?
Like sweet water to me?
Oh, how I yearn for your love,
I yearn for your embrace.
To hear you whisper on my ears,
For me to feel your gentle skin,
Below my rough fingers.
To feel the heat of your smile,
The fondling of your ocean eyes,
Upon my rigid being.
Miles, years, and people separate us.
Thus I mourn, I mourn.
Only in the land of night and dreams,
Are we together, are we one.
You imprinted my heart with your soul,
It will never go undone.
Like a child, no a dog.
I beg, please...
Take me into your arms.
End my ceaseless suffering,
For I am afraid,
Without your love,
It might end with the edge of a razor.

Yeah, this was definitely something. Good choice of words.

To hear you whisper on my ears,
For me to feel your gentle skin,
Below my rough fingers.

The best part about poetry is that people manage to convey so much with just a few words. Its a gift =]
Great work.
