Misleading Encounter

Misleading Encounter

A Poem by Mjr. Tom
"

Thinking about what would my encounter be with the reaper. "Don't fear the reaper" :))

"

Glancing up, his eyes so bright

Asking softly, "come to the light"

Darkened figure, noose in hand

Taking me to his foreign land

"No" I whispered "I'm not done"

Lips unmoving "don't try to run"

Revealing his gleaming scythe

"Your time is up, your time is neigh"

"No, no" I cried, "one more day"

As I looked up starting to pray

"Why do you fear me?

I"m here to set you free

Your is body is dead

Lying in your bed

Again I ask, come with me

I will then set you free

To the land that lies above

Where hate is void, theres only love

I may be terrifying to some

But i'm here to help in times to come"

Glancing up I took his hand

Flying to that heavenly land.
