Burning Memories

Burning Memories

A Poem by Mjr. Tom
"

Random thoughts that went into my head so I had to write them down

"

Memory after memory

Burn into my fragile mind

Remembering every small, minute

Detail, the good and the bad

Pleasure and pain, everything

All of them clashing

Breaking my sane mind

Twisting it and melting it down

Causing the rush of feelings

Hitting me like a semi

Paralyzed I lay in my bed

Motionless, lost in thought

Seconds, minutes, hours pass

Struck into a paralytic stance

Seeing grandeur visions of

Destruction unfold beyond

My huge unblinking eyes

In an instant... Nothing

It all dissapates

Waking up from this trance

Shaking off the distant nightmare

That recently controlled

My evermoving, everchanging

Realm called mind

I prepare for reality

Once again
