Why Do We Write?

Why Do We Write?

A Poem by Mjr. Tom
"

I was thinking about this, and wrote this poem down.

"

The world writes

To bring light into their darkest moments

People write

To express their most vivid emotions

Some write

To describe their wildest dreams or worst nightmares

We write

To breath life into unspoken words

Most write

To discover something lost within themselves

I write

To color my soul with my words

Why then?

Do you write exactly?

"We write
To breath life into the unspoken words"
I liked this stanza a lot. I guess, a lot of us write because of this. We write what it is we can't say in reality.
I write simply, whatever it is my mind wants to say, again 'unspoken words,' words i wouldn't say. In reality, I wouldn't alk about what it is I write, writing expresses the flaws and what it is that happens around us, writing is a sanctuary that we all spread and paper. My writing hs never gone as far as into being vividly emotioned.
So here it is, I write because, writing brings colors of other things tht reality can never bring. To extract things I want to be expressed through words in the eys of those who see what it is I feel and plus writing helps me distract myself into the unkown. Sorry I just went right of the scale here, but i guess you catch my drift.

It is a good thought to examine why we do things. You right to fulfill yourself and your soul. I write to express the word and thoughts i can't quite find a way to say. I write to explore and discover paths i may have never seen or thought of before. I want to have wild mind..not monkey mind.

Very simple, but amazing. Def' adding this to my favourites...

Why do I write? I write to express my emotion, to get my ideas and my imagination expressed in a way understandable to everyone that decides to read it. I write so that hopefully my writing will brighten another's day, or inspire others to write their own poetry.
