Mother

Mother

A Poem by Mjr. Tom
"

A poem about my mom/childhood.

"

You held me as a child,

When I was meek and mild.

You hugged me when I was small,

Whenever I took a nasty fall.

You always soothed my rapid heart,

Promised me, we would never part.

You held me as I cried,

When I found out grandma died.

You taught me to do right,

And to never provoke a fight.

You've told me of a foreign land,

Places big, places grand.

You drove my fears far away,

Told me I would live long a day.

You grow older everyday,

But you grow wiser in everyway.

Now that I have grown,

And i'm about to live on my own.

I wanted to say thank you,

I will always love you.

Forever and always, your son.
