Amber Eyes

Amber Eyes

A Poem by Mjr. Tom
"

A poem about me, when I was thinking about who I am.

"
Curly Hair, amber eyes
Who are you?
What lies behind the lies?
A small child?
A raging ruthless creature?
Scratching and howling to be free?
What lies behind the changing mask?
Twisting and turning
With the change of your emotions
You try to scream for help
But nothing comes out
Only stifled chokes
Only tears of anguish
Anguish running down your cheeks
Your eyes show age and maturity
But your soul weeps like a child
Begging and Pleading
Pleading to be held;
Pleading to be nursed;
Pleading to be loved;
Who are you amber eyed child?
