The Need For Magic

The Need For Magic

A Poem by Rhonda Marie Hayman

My faith and hope is dwindling down
to nothingness...
My spirit feels as though it is being crushed by the weight of the world and its cruelty
and lies...
My heart cries as I wait for reality to be ..
to come to fruition
My soul is heavy with the need of certainty
My cries to God, heard? I pray so
If only there were some magical fairy to come and bring to me what is so desperately needed, a spirit with magic is a spirit alive...
A wand in the hand whisping around, turning dark to light, tears to smiles....
Lies to truth, and cruelty to kindness,
making love shine
My faith rides a low tide on the ocean of life
